Disseco os homens
do meu passado
para amá-los.
Olhando-os abertos,
sangrando,
consigo perdoá-los.
Abertos
parecem humanos
compreendo-lhes os motivos.
I dissect
the men of my past
to love them.
Looking at them open
and bleeding
I can forgive them.
Open they look human.
I understand their
reasons.

Nice to see you, Kenia. Sometimes, it seems, one can understand things even though one does not necessarily like the reasons.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you often here.
THIS is a very wise and compassionate poem. So happy to see you, feels like it's been a while. Hope you are doing wonderfully, kiddo!
ReplyDeleteLooking back, it's easier to understand and to see how we are all human on the inside. Not so easy when we are caught up in the emotions.
ReplyDeletethoughtful and interesting poem... and an excellent way of dealing with something many of us carry...
ReplyDeleteThere were a few I'd have liked to fix with an ax!
ReplyDeleteAi, que lindo! Ai, que forte! Adorei!
ReplyDelete; )
truly cool poem - nice one KC
ReplyDeletePerhaps it is the best we can do, is to understand...after all we are all trying to do our best, even them....
ReplyDeleteNow I am remembering one, and I think even he was trying to do his best, it is just that his best sucked!
ReplyDeleteA lovely poem.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Sometimes its just so hard to look at them as humans! they are either larger than life heroes or monsters that feed on your soul!
ReplyDeletesensacional.
ReplyDeletea árdua tarefa de conhecer profundamente só parece caber quando não cabe mais sentimento.
é aí que se compreende, é aí que já se perdeu.
