feitas de partidas
e gasto todos os meus desejos
em bolinhas de gude
quer os dias amanheçam com
borboletas ou demônios berrantes.
I build roads
out of departures
and spend all my wishes
in marbles
whether days come with
butterflies or screaming demons.

...spend all my wishes in marbles...
ReplyDeleteThese line hurt to read, especially for one who has lived through too many departures. It's hard to see the butterflies when your heart is broken.
Lindo demais Kenia...
ReplyDeleteUm caminho repleto de amanheceres com borboletas coloridas...
Beijo
Um dia você ganha todas as bolinhas de gude de dentro do triângulo formado por estradas.
ReplyDeleteIsso tá bonito demais!
Beijo, Kenia.
"I build roads
ReplyDeleteout of departures"
for some reason that especially speaks to me, but I agree with Kerry about the marbles...
I specially like:
ReplyDeleteI build roads
out of departures
intriguing word play ~
Como caminhar sem partir? Este é o truque da estrada, aprender a seguir.
ReplyDeleteThese pieces are wonderfully crafted little gems, soft yet evocative.
ReplyDeleteI love "whether days come with butterflies or screaming demons"....and "I make roads out of departures". That is a brilliant line. We all do, actually, but I never thought of it that way before.
ReplyDeleteWow Kenia,
ReplyDeletesuch an emotional tug of war in your words!
I hope butterflies!
Wonderful imagery~
