or at least

A beleza de valor
não se encontra na superfície.
É preciso ir ao fundo das pessoas
para encontrá-la.
Olhos bem abertos,
coração sereno,
sem medo de se afogar -
talvez consiga tocá-la
se esticar bem os braços.
E se tiver mesmo sorte,
talvez seja tocado por ela.


The valuable beauty is nowhere in the surface.
One must go deep into people to find it.
Eyes wide open,
undisturbed heart,
no fear of drowning -
You may be able to touch it
if you stretch enough.
And if you're really lucky,
you may be touched by it .

distrai os olhos
enquanto nos rouba a lucidez.
Por isso eu prefiro rostos
que nunca serão quadros.


Inconsequent beauty
distracts the eyes
while steals our sanity.
That's the reason why I prefer
those faces that will never make it
to painted portraits.
