Meus sonhos
são maiores que a noite,
por isso esses olhos
perseguem a lua;
por isso
às vezes
eu não quero voltar pra casa.

My dreams
are bigger than the night,
reason why these eyes of mine
chase the moon;
reason why
sometimes
I don't want to go back home.

I miss the time when men were handwritten instead of letter-font typed.

Antes o risco ao

universo infinito.
Antes o tombo
ao arrependimento eterno.

Better the venture
than the infinite universe.
Better the collapse
than the everlasting regret.

O movimento natural do universo
ensina que a efemeridade
é a única coisa persistente.

The word that makes me move
is the same word that keeps me still -
life hardly explains itself.
We face the shadow of the night
waiting for a new day to come.
The natural movement of the universe
teaches that ephemerity is the only
persistent thing.

Eu observo o
encantador de serpentes.
Há malícia em seus olhos,
há engano em sua música e habilidade.
Mentem o balanço de suas mãos e
até mesmo os ossos de seu corpo -
nem homens nem ratos seguiriam sua flauta.
Eu observo o
encantador de serpentes.
Eu observo a serpente.

I watch the snake charmer.
There's malice in his eyes,
there's deception in his music and ability.
The movement of his hands and
even his bones are tricky -
neither men nor rats would follow his flute.
I watch the snake charmer.
I watch the snake.

Virá a tempestade e

Many stories can't survive time
and time is faster and faster.
Sixty minutes by your side are like seconds
counted on the fingers
but a second without you
is like forever in the living room clock
whose hands
move very slow.
Mornings and afternoons
are lost in the dust of hours,
locked in a room full of clocks that don't work anymore.
It won't make any sense in a few years
and it won't make any difference
in less time than expected.
Storm will come
and we'll have forgotten the chairs in the porch,
wind will cover them with a thick dust
and we'll have erased memories
- it's all a question of time.
Nothing lasts forever.
