Tentamos.
Permitimo-nos o erro
pois humanos -

carregamos
na palma da mão
um destino possível.

Continuo caindo.
A primavera me amolece os ossos,
os caminhos ficam compridos.

Contar os poentes
me dá algum alívio,
no verão os arranhões estarão curados.

We try.
We accept mistakes
given we're human

we carry
a likely fate
on our palms.

I keep falling.
Spring softens my bones,
going places feels exhausting.

Counting sunsets brings me some relief.
When summer comes, these bruises
will have disappeared.

  1. For me, this speaks of growing older through the seasons, even the happier ones like Spring, while Summer only hides the bruises of our experience.

  7. aloha Poesia - this intrigues me. it leaves me with questions i can not answer. yet it also tells me that time moves ever on and these things that befall us fade away too. it leaves me with another thought - "counting sunsets" helps. i like that thought. to count a sunset to me would mean trying hard never to miss one. i like that too. aloha.
