#506

Eu ando pela cidade
mas sempre acabo
aqui.

Venho ao teu portão
e grito o teu nome
quarenta e nove vezes.

A noite responde com cachorros,
vou embora antes que os vizinhos
acordem.

Minha voz tão fraca,
tua janela tão distante,
você.

I wander through the city
but my feet always bring me back
here.

I come to your door
and scream your name
forty nine times.

Night replies with dogs,
I leave not to wake up
neighbors.

my voice so weak,
a window so distant,
you.

  4. A window so distant. A window in a dream. It's getting late; almost morning. No one to be seen.

A poem of despair. I've always felt it to be an act of great humanity to write poems of despair, for it is in despair we need poetry the most.

    Beautiful, Kenia. Kisses :)

    I waited

    only the leaves moved.

  9. makes me thing of a song..
    "Step off the train
I'm walking down your street again"

I remember that song so vividly as I was clearly madly mad for someone who's window I could have stood under forever and not been noticed, this poem makes me think of that..

  10. You capture the longing so beautifully in both languages. Interesting photo, too. I am surprised to see I can read more of the Portuguese than I thought. What fun! hugs, pat
